Surfing!

I got some time in the water this week! Still not 100% yet though. That last south swell was one of the best we've had in years. Solid surf all over the island. Long range forecasts are looking good too! I can't wait for school to be over, almost there!! Check out the flextail beachtelegraph.com

Also, Quiksilver is sponsoring a ASP World Tour Surfing event at Long Island, New York with 1 MILLION DOLLARS prize money!! Insane!!!

New Website! +Superfreak ME

Hot sails has put up there 2011 website.
Check it out, buy some stuff.

After I wrapped my 4.7 Fire around a few very sharp lava rocks, click here to check out the pictures.

Jeff let me try out a SuperFreak ME. I was a little apprehensive at first, it's Neon green(bright, really bright), completely dacron, and a vinyl window. With a bomb proof mast sleeve and durable Hotsails construction. Before I even got on the water I noticed how light it was. It can be rigged on a 370 which makes it even lighter. On the water it's silent. No crunch and crinkling as you bounce over chops and no flopping of the top panel. It has a soft feel in between the Superfreak and normal mono-film sails. Jumps and aerials have a much softer landing. The sail really shines in powered up wave conditions. It transitions from powered up to neutral and back again very easily. I find that I don't fall as much with it and I'm not as tired after long sessions. It can handle big waves as well as small waves. I plan on always having at least one of these in my quiver. They'll last a long time, and it's fun to say Superfreak ME!

Book Review
Brave New World by Aldous Huxley
Written in the 30's about the future. People have become mass produced copies of each other who are conditioned to live certain class roles and be happy about it. People are constantly high off a drug called Soma and spend their entire lives filling the status quo. Kind of similar to today. Definitely worth reading though.

Boujma is nutz!

I remember the first photo shoot he came to Maui. I think he was 19. He was doing these huge tweaked tabletops. So knarly! I couldn't believe it!! I didn't even know where Morocco was let alone it had such sick windsurfing and windsurfers.

I stole this video off of beachtelegraph. There is also a sick sequence on GP's blog. Pushing the limits of what is possible. So sick.

Enjoy the video and send some good thoughts his way

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

This post might make you angry for a number of reasons. Please don't read it.

Here is a music video from System of a Down. Listen to them. Check out there bio here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/System_of_a_Down and the Armenian genocide of 1915 to understand where they are coming from. the lyrics are listed below.

I've been walking through your streets
Where all your moneys are earned
Where all your buildings crying
And clueless neckties working
Revolving fake-lawn houses
Housing all your fears
Desensitized by TV
Overbearing advertising
God of consumerism
And all your crooked pictures looking good
Mirrorism, filtering information for the public eye
Designed for profiteering
Your neighbor, what a guy.

BOOM!
BOOM!
BOOM!
BOOM!

Every time you drop the bomb, you kill the god your child has born-

BOOM!
BOOM!
BOOM!
BOOM!

Modern globalization
Coupled with condemnations
Unnecessary death
Matador corporations
Puppeting your frustrations with a blinded flag
Manufacturing consent is the name of the game
The bottom line is money
Nobody gives a FUCK
Four thousand hungry children leave us per hour from starvation
While billions are spent on bombs
Creating death showers

BOOM!
BOOM!
BOOM!
BOOM!

Every time you drop the bomb, you kill the god your child has born-

BOOM!
BOOM!
BOOM!
BOOM!

Boom-Boom-Boom-Boom-Boom-Boom-Boom!

Why must we kill our own kind?

BOOM!
BOOM!
BOOM!
BOOM!

Every time you drop the bomb, you kill the god your child has born.

BOOM!
BOOM!
BOOM!
BOOM!

Boom-Boom-Boom-Boom-Boom-Boom-Boom-Boom!

Every time you drop the [BOOM!]

That was 2003 and now today...

March 19th 2011 while anyone who watches television and the news(It took me 10 minutes to figure out, but I even turned on the t.v. to see Japan)

was gaping at the destruction in Japan (Please donate money to help them), the U.S. military sent over 110 missiles at Libya. Why? To free oppressed people? Get rid of a dangerous tyrant? Oil? They were a danger to the American way of life? Military complex had an extra 100 missiles they needed to get rid of? I honestly have no idea...

An article in the Maui Times Weekly caught my eye this week. They reported that a
110 missiles that hit Libya were estimated $569,000 each for a nice total of $60,000,000 dollars. That doesn't even include the transportation costs of getting the missiles over there. How does a government that is so far in debt throw away such a massive amount of money. This waste of money isn't being spent on something that could help people, it's being spent on killing people and destroying things.

The innocent people that died are the true victims of this, but anyone who works in the U.S., pays taxes is directly supporting this. My blog stats show that most of my readers are from the U.S. which means that's me and all of you. We are killing people with our taxes and our support of a war monger government and military.

Where are the protesters from a few years ago? Did all the people who were against the Iraq war, vote for Obama, and are now struggling with the fact that he doesn't want to or is unable to change the policies of the past administration?

Shouldn't this bother more people then it has???

The point of the post? I guess there isn't any it's just sad. More innocence dieing for no cause and no fault of their own. You can't be neutral on a moving train.
