August 09
What an amazing August! Looking back at the month, it was epic for something almost everyday. Two hurricane swells, two north swells, windswell all month, glassy morning sessions, and even Kona winds! Sharing waves the past three days with some of my best friends has made me realize how amazing windsurfing is. I'm so thankful for what windsurfing has given me and continues to give me. All of us as windsurfers have been so blessed to stumble upon this ridiculous sport. There's nothing like it. If you have a minute check out this essay by Aannaeus Seneca,"On The Shortness Of Life." http://www.philosophicalsociety.com/Archives/On%20The%20Shortness%20Of%20Life.htm It's a quick read. So stoked...

Best session since March!
I wish we would have more storms like Felecia. Three days of epic winter conditions in the middle of summer. Yesterday after surfing all morning the winds turned southerly. One of my favorite spots turned on. I got an hour and a half of side offshore winds and down the line wave sailing. Definitely the best wave sailing I've ever had in August. There was a guy on the beach taking pictures, if I can find him I will put the pictures up later this week.

Reunion Wave Classic
The second event of hopefully many to come. After their success with the Fuerte Wave Classic(http://www.fuertewaveclassic.com/) Thomas Traversa and the rest of the organizers are putting on another contest on Reunion island. The island is home to one of the most amazing waves in the world for windsurfing and surfing. Should be an epic contest. Check out the cool format they have set up for the contest as well.
